Tippecanoe County households can bring hazardous waste to the Household Hazardous Waste Disposal at the Transfer Station on North 9th Street. This service is free. Be sure all hazardouse waste is clearly labeled, in quantities of 5 gallons or less, and in a leak-proof container. If you have large volumes of pesticide, the Office of the State Chemist holds a pesticide disposal event every August as a way to dispose of pesticides for free or very cheap.
